Daekook Nekar graduated from Sun Moon University in South Korea with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. With four years of research experience in neurorehabilitation and musculoskeletal research, his work has focused on using augmented reality-based exercises to support children with developmental disorders and adults recovering from athletic injuries.

Daekook recently passed the written component of the Canadian Physiotherapy Competency Examination and is currently working toward full licensure in Alberta. He remains current in his field through ongoing research and continuing education. As an internationally educated physiotherapist, Daekook is fluent in English, French, and Korean, enabling him to provide treatment comfortably in all three languages.  

Daekook views effective rehabilitation as a partnership with patients, empowering them to actively engage in their recovery. He is committed to equipping patients with the tools, knowledge, and confidence necessary to take charge of their healing process and achieve lasting, meaningful progress.

Outside of work, Daekook enjoys staying active through soccer and pickleball and has a passion for cooking and exploring different cultures.
